The Weekend

The weekend of the wedding was a lot of fun. Most of the guests came from a bit of a distance so we had them all stay in the lodge with us. We went hiking and hot tubing, roasted marshmallows, ate together, had worship together, laughed and talked together. It was quite enjoyable and I think everyone who came would agree. It was the first time that some of the guests had ever seen snow before. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Chickadees

I have always loved chickadees. they are such cheerful little birds, always busy finding food and singing. When I was walking the other day I noticed several everywhere I went. They let me get quite close to them too which was nice for once. I really want to buy some bird seed and feed them some time from my hand.

Orchestra Concert

This Saturday night we have our first orchestra concert of the year. I created this poster for the event. I'm really enjoying learning more about Photoshop and InDesign.

It's so nice to go for a walk on Sabbaths. So often I just feel like taking a nap instead, like this past weekend. But Jo, and Zach and Jess convinced me to go, and I'm so glad I did. (and my toes didn't freeze)

Something Poetic

This year I have been working on the choir executive team as one of the Public Relations people. We just had our first choir fundraiser which we titled " Something Poetic". It was a night of entertainment. lots of songs and poems, done café style. There was a great turnout considering that there were several other events going on the same night.
