New Clothes

The season has been changing around here. It seemed to happen just overnight. One day I was wearing leggings and a sweater to keep warm and the next I was pealing off anything a could to cool down.

This is Jacob. Of all the kids, he is the one I want to steal the most!

These little girls are so cute. I would take a picture of them and then they would immediately run to me to see the picture. When I would show it to them they would just giggle and laugh so hard! Adorable!

Rice Planting

It has long been on the hearts of these missionaries to try planting rice. I'm not quite sure what it is that they found so appealing about the process, but they were all just dying to try it. The trouble is that the people around here have a  lot of experience and we don't. They plant their rows very straight and can do it in a very short amount of time. Anyways we found a couple fields that hadn't yet been planted and helped out. I decided to just go along to take pictures. No one is quite sure whether the ladies were happy for our help or if they were planning on redoing everything once we left. It was a good experience none the less.

Little Notes

The children at the orphanage love to write us missionaries little notes. This is just one of the many I have received.

Sabbath Morning Shots

This past Sabbath on their way to Sabbath school all the children got in a little train and made their way over to the front gate where shots for worms were being distributed. It was an interesting time and place to get it done. But hey, this is Bangladesh.

The Market

This is a little market just a five minute walk from the orphanage. SK and I went with Shborna, the cute little lady you'll see a bit further down. I love all the colours.
PS. Sorry for the low quality of files. I have to resize them because the internet here is so slow.

Faces of BanglaHope

This is Jacob. He is a real sweetie, with a very high and loud singing voice, but he's very genuine about it. He fell asleep in my arms during church today. These kids are really finding a place in my heart.

Above is Bart (short for Bartholomew). He has become my little sidekick. He's a bit better now, but for a while he would follow me everywhere I went, holding my hand. He talks very quietly with a strong Bengali accent. We are learning how to communicate slowly. Isn't he cute?

This is the group of girls that I live with. From left to right we have Sarah Kate Lingerfelt, Chantel Mote, Lauren Ressler, Heather Witzel, and me. I couldn't have asked for a nicer group to spend these few months with.
